Baked Cheddar Hash Brown Casserole

Don’t forget the kitchen is a place to get creative – add in some favourite foods that make it a custom meal just for that special dad in your life. Scramble fry some ground beef or sausage meat to mix in, or add some yummy chunks of cooked bacon. You can also add in some vegetable favourites like mushrooms, tomato, or celery chunks. Lots of options to make this one-of-a-kind.

 

Baked Cheddar Hash Brown Casserole

Cook Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Course Dinner

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) pkg frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1-1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 (10 oz.) can crea of mushroom soup
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Combine all ingredients together except the Parmesan cheese and place into the prepared dish.
  • Top it with the Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until bubbling and the top is nicely browned.
  • Let it set for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Bake uncovered but if it starts to brown too much too soon, cover it with aluminum foil.
