What’s the Norm?

Do you ever feel like, as a homeschooling family, you are going against the norm? I admit that I prefer it that way for our family. Sometimes, however, it is important to understand the norm and, even, perhaps, follow it. Statistics with Kathy Lapan teaches high school and upper middle school students about the norm, standard deviation, slope, and much more. High school students can gain a half credit after completing each of the assignments and the final project in this five-month course. Another area where it is important to follow the norm, or the rules, is in grammar. With Daily Grammar lessons, under the Dailies tab, students in first grade and third through seventh grade can learn the standards for the parts of speech, capitalization rules, synonyms, antonyms, punctuation, diagramming, and how words work together.
