What Did You Do Last Weekend?

When people ask me this question, I have a hard time remembering. Does anybody else have that kind of a memory, or is it just me? Thankfully, the important and exciting events of the past have been written down. Students in elementary school through high school can learn about some of these events with This Day in History. Nearly every day of the year has an event associated with it. For example, the first day of the Battle of Midway was fought on June 4, 1942. Supplemental worksheets bring some extra fun to your history studies, along with living book lists, short fiction, discussion questions, hands-on activities, and upper grade options. Speaking of history, The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine Back Issues from the following years are available: 2014, 2013, 2012, 2007-2011. These issues provide articles on topics such as robotics, money, autism, flowers, recordkeeping, freezer meals, adoption, the lost arts, and more. Be sure to check them out if you are looking for curriculum ideas for the next year.
