There are countless stories of Christians who have allowed their light to shine. Because of this, the Gospel has spread throughout the world. Students in all grade levels can meet some of these people in Classical History with Jennifer Courtney. Through written lessons, reading assignments from various texts including Scripture, activities for different age groups, slide shows, and videos, Jennifer spends 29 lessons discussing ancient history, the rise and fall of Rome, the spread of Christianity, and the history of the church. Christian Luminaries with Diana Waring is a great supplemental course, found under the Resources tab, through which we can all learn about some of the heroes of the faith, including David Livingstone, Isobel Kuhn, Dr. Paul Brand, and Betty Green. Find out where they served, learn about the people they served, explore the time period in which they lived, and read about their spiritual traits and the trials they encountered. Discussion questions and activities are included to reinforce the learning.
