The English language has changed drastically over the centuries. What used to be communicated through inflection is now communicated through word order. So, in order to communicate effectively, we must understand the rules of grammar. Now ninth graders can enjoy a grammar lesson each day through Daily Grammar 9th grade. Students will work with one sentence for an entire week. They will begin the week by identifying the parts of speech and seeing how those parts function within the sentence. They will then identify clauses and sentence type and review capitalization and punctuation. They will close out the week by diagramming the sentence. If you have students younger than ninth grade, don’t forget we have Daily Grammar 3rd-4th grade, Daily Grammar 5th grade, Daily Grammar 6th-7th grade, and Daily Grammar 7th-8th grade.
