A Sign of the Times

Two groups in America are growing: those who use American Sign Language and those who are learning English as their second language. American Sign Language with Sandra Heflin provides a beginning vocabulary of approximately 350 basic signs, the manual alphabet, grammar, and a basic understanding of the Deaf Community and culture. Students will learn how to sign the alphabet, greetings, introductions, numbers, time, holidays, and more as they progress through the course. The 15 weeks’ worth of video-based lessons and printable resources are designed for middle school and high school students. ESL Learning with Anna Crisostomo is an eight-week course, designed for students in grades 1-5, complete with tips and resources to help parents who are teaching ESL in their homes. Online games, printable worksheets, and more are included. Through this course, students can achieve basic proficiency for an English language class.
