From board games to posters to toilet paper tube ping pong ball launchers, our teachers have been busy making creative ways to help your children enjoy learning. Teresa Evans brings an entire week of Everyday Games that focuses on math and strategy. She’ll start the week with three games that reinforce place value and end the week with two logic/strategy games including your very own Sudoku game!

In Science, Jason Lindsey has been teaching us about the laws of motion, potential energy, and kinetic energy by showing us how to build a marshmallow shooter and a ping pong ball launcher! Help your kids get Hooked on Science with these simple experiments you can do at home with everyday materials.

Dr. Matthew Glavach has a creative unit this month in Young Readers/Struggling Readers. This month he wraps up his phonics series with Word Attack Posters! Students will practice their phonics and create beautiful sea and wildlife posters at the same time. In October, Dr. Glavach will begin a three-part series with audio resources and workbook materials to help students develop reading fluency.
