What’s New in Simply Shakespeare and Literature Kits

/ / Blog, Schoolhouse Teachers

“Stones have been known to move and trees to speak.” This month’s Simply Shakespeare unit is offering something new and different. No, it doesn’t have talking trees, but perhaps it has the next best thing! Rachel Ann Rogish and Sharla Orren debut their newly expanded Simply Shakespeare format this month with their study on MacBeth which now includes a study for 4th-8th graders as well as a more in-depth study for 9th-12th graders. In addition, the new Simply Shakespeare has ideas on how Scripture relates to the topics in the play. Don’t miss the new feature “Shakespeare’s Places” that will help you discover the geography and culture of the lands Shakespeare wrote about.

In honor of Columbus Day, Marla Schultz’s Literature Kit for October takes us on a voyage with the book Columbus by Ingri and Edgar Parin D’Aulaire. Grab a copy of the vividly illustrated children’s book, start a batch of Trenette with Pesto, and curl up with your kids for an adventure with one of the most famous explorers in history.
