What’s New in Reading Lessons and Literature

/ / Blog, Schoolhouse Teachers

Dr. Matthew Glavach’s twelve lessons on Reading the News for Reading Fluency is wrapping up its second month—but all of his Reading Lessons remain on the site. If your child has a hard time knowing how to attack unknown words, struggles to read meaningful phrase patterns, or labors without expression when he reads, please stop by Dr. Glavach’s lessons and let him offer some suggestions and strategies that might help empower your reader.

Adam Andrew’s Literature class will explore William Steig’s classic Brave Irene. You’ll answer questions for Socratic Discussion based on setting, characters, conflict, plot, theme, and more. Get a glimpse into the life of Mr. Steig, complete a story chart of the story, and enjoy the discussion!
