My children love books. They devour them the minute they are in the house. Because of this, I like to make sure we have some great learning books in the house. The Amazing Science Books from Family Home Christian Books did just that for us. We got the chance to read Incredible Dinosaurs, The Amazing World of Insects, Nature’s Amazing Migrations, and Amazing Nature.

All these books are hardcover books filled with beautiful color photos and fascinating information. Each book is just the right amount of information for children with about 100 pages. Each book has a fun something to go with it.

My son immediately grabbed the Incredible Dinosaurs, as dinosaurs have always been his thing. He was excited to see that it came with a cardboard-like dinosaur skeleton to put together. While most of this book is basic information about dinosaurs, I did notice that it focused on old earth vs new earth. That was okay because my son has already learned our belief in the new earth, and he was able to see this as someone else’s opinion and move forward. My son also had to tell me that the book references bible verses about dinosaurs. This was his favorite part because we have been researching the dinosaurs and how they too were in the bible.

I pulled out Nature’s Amazing Migrations to use during our science unit studies. This was a beautiful book to add to our migration study. This added so much fun to our study. Through this book, we learned about the migration of birds, mammals, sea creatures, and even insects! To go along with this book, there is a simple Migration Game. This game was a wonderful way to connect what we were learning into a fun activity. All the children enjoyed it, and they even went back to the book to learn more about some of the animals in the game.

My children love The Amazing World of Insects, and not just to scare me with the pictures! I did not care for The Amazing World of Insects. Not because of anything wrong with the book, but because I do not care for insects. This book covers all different insects. My children were able to learn about the bugs that mom does not like in a fun way. This book includes a fun matching game of the insects we learned about in the book.

My favorite book of the four was Amazing Nature. This book covers so much about nature. We learn about the engineers of nature to the mathematics of nature. Unlike the other books, there are no extras in this book except a pull-out page that talks about the size of nature. This is a book that we will be pulling out all year with our science lessons. There are experiments and different activities to do with the pages to help bring you and your children closer to nature. These are great ways to extend our learning from the pages to our real life.

These four books are a terrific addition to any homeschool library. I loved that they invited my children to learn more. As primarily Charlotte Mason learners, giving the children books that pique their interest is on the top of my list. These books are just that. The books give the information that pulls children in and the children will want to know more. They will start to look for information on their own.

If you are looking for books that will make your children yearn to learn, these are those books. Grab yourself the Amazing Science Books and watch your children learn on their own.
