Kids love to build things! There's something wonderful about seeing how many different ways building pieces can be put together and how many creative things can be made from them. Lockrobots puts a new spin on an old idea. Lockrobots are small plastic robot figures, about 2" by 3", in five different colors. The pieces can fit together in various ways to make flat or 3-dimensional figures, or they can be used for balancing activities. Part of the creativity lies in the many different ways the figures fit together, thus opening up a plethora of possibilities for balancing and building. Our kit came with 15 pieces in a small bucket ($11.00), but there are also larger sets available. An instruction booklet is included, with many clever shapes to build that demonstrate some of the unique properties of these building sets. The Lockrobots website also has many examples of what can be built with these smart pieces and some wonderful ideas for implementing the blocks into your homeschool curriculum.

My kids have loved playing with the Lockrobots! They've been turned into cars, trucks, lasers, animals, and all manner of things. The shapes are easy for small fingers to manipulate and practically beg to be played with by young lads and lasses. I would highly recommend them for your kids!
