Bob Jones University Press has a new set of readers for children entering second grade. The paperback books come in a little gift bag that is sure to delight your new reader. There are 10 little books in the set in a range of literary styles. There is a book of poetry; stories about Thomas Edison, William Tindale, and Booker T. Washington; informative stories about geese, fireflies, and earthquakes; two realistic-fiction stories; and one fanciful story about a chipmunk family. This is a great set of wholesome and entertaining books for summer reading or for anytime. I plan to give them to my first grader as a prize when he finishes his reading program. I appreciate the quality of reading material published by Bob Jones University Press and give their new Take-Along Stories two thumbs up!
