How does anything get done—in your house, in your city, in your nation? People must do. They must put their hands to their work. Elementary and middle school students can learn about the people who helped shape our nation’s history in American History: Colonization. They can join Amy Puetz as she shares the stories of those who put their hands to the work set before them. There are a total of 60 lessons available that discuss such topics as the first settlement in Virginia, the French and Indian War, and various heroes and heroines of the past. Instruction includes writing prompts, geography, and historical art. Activities such as memory verses, recipes, crafts, games, and more help to enhance learning. Parents of children who learn best by moving and using their hands can find encouragement and helpful tips in Kinetic Connections, under the Dailies tab. Edwina Moody shares her own personal experiences with raising a kinetic learner and the resources she has found most helpful.
