Patrick Nurre of Northwest Treasures is in his fourth month as our Geology teacher on SchoolhouseTeachers.com! Join Patrick’s class for 3rd-12th grade students. Patrick fell in love with geology in the 2nd grade when he discovered a large dinosaur bone in the alley behind his house—and he’s been pursuing science ever since. His classes are taught from a young earth perspective. This month we’ll learn about sedimentary rocks, chemical and biochemical sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rocks, and nonfoliated metamorphic rocks. These lessons include audio/video as well as printable worksheets.
