Some of the courses available on SchoolhouseTeachers.com are taught from a classical perspective. Whether you’ve been teaching this way throughout your homeschooling journey or wonder what classical education is all about, take advantage of these courses. Classical History with Jennifer Courtney is a 29-week class that can be taught to all grade levels. Age-appropriate assignments and reading selections are clearly marked. Jennifer begins her history adventure in Mesopotamia and ends with the fall of Rome. Many different activities are provided, including slide shows, videos, and assigned reading, so students are sure to find a learning method that suits them. Another classical course is Classical Archaeology taught by Regan Barr. Geared toward middle and high school students, all family members can benefit from this 17-week course. Regan includes his own photos in each lesson as he teaches students about the evidence for the riot in Ephesus, the original Olympics, Pompeii, and architecture of the time.
