Christmas and Art Appreciation

/ / Blog, Schoolhouse Teachers

Today Everyday Easels begins a new 10-day study of The Presentation of Christ in the Temple, painted on wood with tempera, circa 1435. We’ll take a closer look at what we can learn about the Christmas story from a painting that is more than five hundred years old. We’ll learn about art, history, English, math, and even home economics. We’ll complete a notebooking page and try our hand at making some artistic creations of our own. Join us for a new look at a very old piece of art.
