Recently, members of SchoolhouseTeachers.com were able to vote for their favorite Schoolhouse Teacher. After all the votes were tallied, the winner was Chris Yust of Computer Science/Programming. Chris provides hands-on computer projects for 6th-12th grade students in a self-study environment. Weekly printables with step-by-step instructions on each month’s topic are provided. The twelve available units include basic website design with HTML, working with images and videos in HTML, Greenfoot, Minecraft Mods for beginners, JavaScript, writing Java programs in Eclipse, Minecraft Mods in Java (intermediate), Lego Digital Designer and Tinkercad, and Digital Logic. And if your student loves all things tech, under the Resources and Specials tab, there are some additional Computer/Technology Lessons. These are articles by Andy Harris that teach us how to explore geography with Google Earth and program with Hackety Hack.
