The introduction for EduScraps Scrapbooking Through US History: 1920-1939 begins: "Do you get tired of the same old textbook style of teaching? EduScraps has taken the hum-drum history class and turned it into a creative learning adventure." I couldn't have said it better myself!
EduScraps are a series of 8.5" x 11" comb-bound books for fourth through twelfth grades that present history lessons in a fun way for your children. Work can be done independently or you and your children can work together to create scrapbook pages that cover events, people, etc. from the time period covered in each book.
In this book, you will explore inventions, clothing, inventors, famous people, important events, and much more from 1920-1939. Each lesson in the book is divided into five sections: fast facts, inventions, activity ideas, reproducible pages, and layout ideas. The layout ideas are clear, color pictures of actual scrapbook pages. Many ideas are included to cover other subjects, such as science, vocabulary, geography, sports, and government.
Included in the series are US History 1900-1919, US History 1920-1939, and Ancient Egypt. Coming soon are US History 1940-1959, US History 1960-1979, US History 1980-1999, Ancient Rome, and the American Revolution.
If you or your children love to scrapbook, each book will be a learning adventure. I give it two thumbs up!
