Many homeschoolers, regardless of homeschooling style, have books listing annotated literature titles to help in book selections. Internet Resources for Homeschooling is akin to such a book. The Internet holds thousands of free resources, so it would have been impossible to include all possible links, but Heidi Johnson spent hours searching and compiled an easy-to-use e-book with links to free resources--from phonics lessons to Spanish to tours of the White House and historical documents. There are resources for every grade and every subject. The e-book is divided into different sections: Language Resources, Mathematics, History/Social Studies, Science, Bible, Foreign Language, Lesson Plans and Unit Studies, Art and Music, Testing and College, Miscellaneous Resources, Games, and My Favorite Recommendations. Within each category, the author uses sub-categories if necessary and lists several resources with annotations of each. There is also a link at the end of the e-book for those who want to sign up receive updates on the links or additional links that she finds.

Overall, I think the format and information are good. The e-book format of this book is superior to some of the printed books about Internet resources because it allows the reader to click the links in the book and go directly to the sites. The Table of Contents is also clickable and allows the reader to quickly scroll to the desired main topic; however, I would have liked to see the sub-topics included in the Table of Contents to aid in quick navigation. I think this is a great resource to add to any homeschooling family reference desk, and I look forward to putting it to good use.
