ICE-Qube Emergency Preparedness Kits Review by Amy Christy

http://www.ice-qube.com

Are you and your family prepared for an emergency? At some point in our lives, we all may be faced with a natural disaster or, at the very least, a vehicle breakdown or inconvenience that would require some intervention. Most of us do not have the time to go out to gather essentials and create our own emergency kit. The makers of ICE-Qube Emergency Preparedness Kits have done all of the work for you and have assembled several kits to help you and your family through the initial hours of such events. These kits are fully customizable and also come specialized for car, survival, office, family, baby, and pets. I received the ICE-Qube Starter Kit, which includes:

Small Flashlight (Batteries Included)
Mylar Blanket
Face Shield
Lifesavers Candy
Rain Poncho
Toothbrush
Sanitation Bags
Water Container
ICE-Qube Emergency Card

All supplies come in a sturdy box (a cube) that is clearly labeled and brightly packaged. This kit was designed with one person in mind, but the company offers kits for up to ten people. Some come with solid, well-made carrying cases and trunks. There's definitely something to suit everyone's needs. Another feature that I liked in particular is the company website. There you can shop for various emergency supplies (fire extinguishers, flashlights, emergency radios, etc.) and also download and print an emergency plan for your family, pet, or baby. They also provide instructions for adding an ICE ("In case of emergency") contact into your cell phone. There's an amazing collection of informational links and resources as well as a blog.

The kits vary in price from a reasonable $24.99 Starter Kit to the most extensive and highest priced kit, the Qube-Luxe for ten people, which is $750.00. All kits include top-quality items for hygiene, first-aid, comfort, and survival. I certainly hope I never need to use one of these kits, but at least I know I will be ready if the need should arise. I would definitely recommend these products to any family. As the makers of ICE-Qube say, "Life happens. Be prepared."
