Ancient History Portfolio Full Color World History Maps Review by Heidi Shaw

Barb has done us a great favor with the development of these maps, which are bright, full page, and labeled with all pertinent information. I find myself coming back to them again and again as we head through history in our homeschool studies. I love the fact that the pages are not bound into a book. They are loose so that you are free to copy them, put them on a wall, include them as needed in your student's pages, or keep them for future reference.

Covering every era from Sumer and Akkad to Jerusalem during New Testament times, these maps will be very useful in your studies. I like the fact that they are simple, basic maps, not cluttered with topographical details or too much data. The Ancient Egypt map showed my children how the flow of the Nile and the corresponding floods were responsible for civilization there. The green along the banks of the Nile was the only thing they needed to see to reinforce what we were learning.

These history maps correlate perfectly with Homeschool Journey's Portfolio timeline books, and you can get them to cover all historical periods. They will enhance any program you may be using. You will really enjoy having them in your resource base, that's for sure!
