eChristian Review by Amy Osborn

eChristian

eChristian is the largest Christian audio book provider on the Internet. As a knitter, I listen to many books while I knit. Additionally, my children have learning disabilities that affect their reading ability, but they are able to use audio books to gain exposure to good literature that they would not be able to read on their own. We use our library quite a bit, but there are many books that we cannot find.

On the eChristian website, you can buy individual titles or subscribe to a program that gives you a number of monthly credits, which you can use to purchase digital downloads, audio CDs, or mp3 CDs. Also, Christian Audio gives away a premium audio book download for free each month.

I was really pleased with the titles I found on the website. For purposes of this review, I chose four titles: The Light Princess, My Utmost for His Highest, Oswald Chambers: Abandoned to God, and Twelve Extraordinary Women. I had no problem downloading them to my computer and playing them on both my mp3 player and my iPod Touch.

The website was easy to maneuver, and the account area was simple to understand. The quality of the recordings was better than I expected. Honestly, I've had no complaints with this experience, and I look forward to downloading books many years to come! This is a great resource for the Christian homeschooling family!
