This craft project is for ages 6 and up. The kit includes 10 die-cut arms, 5 die-cut bodies, 5 die-cut heads, 5 themed faces, 5 decorative papers, 5 sticks, 20 fasteners, and one tube of clear glue. My kit was missing the die-cut bodies so we had to use some card stock we already had in our craft room to improvise the bodies. You will need to provide scissors and tape.

Also inside the kit were some instructions and a brief explanation of the Chinese New Year celebration. The puppets consist of a boy, a girl, a dragon, a tiger (2010 is the year of the Tiger according to the paper in the kit), and another "monster" of some sort. The papers for making the costumes were very pretty and made the puppets look authentic. Be sure to check out the Tigercandy Arts website to see this kit and other puppet kits that you will enjoy.

My granddaughter and I had a lot of fun assembling these, and she enjoyed adding her own creativity to the project. We ended up with five fairly large stick puppets (14" high) with movable arms and legs that she and her younger sister are enjoying. This is a great project, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to have a fun project with something tangible to enjoy at the conclusion. I'm looking forward to checking out some more of this company's great kits
