Are you swimming in coupons? This product will help keep you organized. Every week my kindergartner cuts out coupons with me. Then we try to match the store sales with our coupons, but we get overwhelmed easily. Here is the best selling coupon organizing and shopping system in the US and Canada.

The Couponizer is an 8 x 5-inch booklet with 18 grocery coupon pockets, 4 generic coupon pockets, and 3 gift card/shopper loyalty sleeves. It measures about 2 inches thick. Amy Bergin is a Christian stay-at-home mom who developed this product and speaks about shopping. It includes a clear vinyl zippered carrying bag in which you can place your book when you head to the stores. The Couponizer also has a shopping list pad, scissors, and a CoupStacker. The CoupStacker is great. It is a mat that you fold out and place your coupons on as you are sorting them, rather than flipping through your Couponizer.

Like many other moms, I tried to pull together a coupon system at home on my own. It never really worked. The Couponizer keeps things organized well, and it fits inside my purse. I like the plastic zippered bag to keep things all together. We use The Couponizer as an extension of our home economics curriculum. The kindergartner cuts the coupons, and she and her third grade sister place them on the CoupStacker according to category. Then, when I make my list and know what coupons I need, they get them out and place them in the pouch for use at the store (a great matching game for the younger students). We then bring The Couponizer to the store in case there is an unadvertised special. Then we have our coupons handy and can use them. I reward my daughters with either an item at the store or the money saved from using a coupon. It keeps them motivated!

I also reviewed the DVD "Save More Than Money." This was a video recording of a conference presentation that Amy did explaining the hows and whys of shopping, planning, and using coupons. She explains how to integrate economics into everyday shopping. I enjoyed watching the DVD, although as a seasoned "couponer" I didn't gain any new information. I do have a friend who is venturing into the coupon world, and she could use the wisdom that Amy offers.

The website is very helpful as well. It shows the various products available, and it has links to online coupon sites. It even gives details on how you can become a Couponizer Coach and launch your own home-based business for extra income.

The Couponizer is a fun activity for the whole family. It will help you teach your children the value of money and allow you to use coupons effectively.
