Alice's art has been such a blessing to our home. Her art has helped us heal, and it has encouraged us to grow in our faith in Jesus. I first met Alice at a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) event. My favorite of her art pieces is "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," which is a pencil drawing of Jesus in a rocking chair holding a baby. I thought that the piece was just beautiful. When we lost a baby at 13 weeks, we ordered our own "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" drawing for our home. Our 4-year-old took it to bed with her every night. The picture was a great reminder to her that her sister or brother was safely with Jesus.

This is a review of another one of Alice's pencil drawings called "In My Father's Hands." She writes that it "captures the miracle of life and those memories and moments of uncertain days in the NICU." It has a picture of an adult-sized, male hand and a premature baby in a knit hat. It is very realistic looking in a sweet remembrance way. This drawing is matted, and the beige matte is of a sturdy quality. This review did not include a frame, but we ordered one from Alice for our "Hands" drawing, and the quality was suburb. You can request that Alice prisma color the drawing to match the gender of the baby. On the back of the matte is a note with Ecclesiastes 11:8 and a note from Alice about the drawing. She writes about the frailty of life: "Often the parents have to come to grips with the fact that this precious little baby is really the Lord's gift to them and is just on loan from the Father above." The note is encouraging and helps to refocus the parent on God's sovereignty.

You can purchase a pencil drawing by itself or matted or matted and framed. Alice's website states, "Artistic Memories by Alice provides artwork that encourages, inspires, challenges and motivates you in your awesome and important role as families." She has art to encourage and comfort those who are dealing with the loss of a child through miscarriage, abortion, or stillbirth.

You can tell through Alice's art that she is a mom who loves Jesus. It might be important to some to know that Alice is a mother through birth and adoption. She has also experienced the loss of a child. That depth of experience is exhibited in her art. Although there isn't any reference to homeschooling on Alice's website, her work would support our nurturing of children and their relationship with Jesus.

Her work is just beautiful and comforting. We have her "Hands" print in our home with the names of our three children. They love to look at it and know that they are in God's hands. I only wish we could own more of Alice's work! If you have a friend with a premature baby, this print would be an incredible blessing. Thank you, Alice, for sharing your art with us. It brings tremendous joy and comfort. You are truly an anointed artist.
