Learn to Write the Novel Way is a curriculum for students in grades 5-12 that teaches all of the language arts skills by guiding the student through the writing of a finished novel. Because it can be used for introductory students as well as more advanced students, the curriculum is perfect for use in the homeschool setting or in homeschool co-ops and other groups. Parents (and teachers) are referred to as the "coach" since that is in effect what your role is. The entire process can be enjoyable!

This course teaches students to be creative. It is a college-preparatory course that follows 13 steps, resulting in a novel. Grammar and spelling objectives include parallelism, editor's marks, punctuation rules, and much more. Publishing objectives are taught as well, such as printing and binding, presentation, and publishing terms. By working through the 13 steps, each student will come up with a story, develop the story, write it, and present the completed novel.

The course can be used in one semester or one year, depending on whether you choose to follow the slow approach or the fast approach. Students get so excited about writing that they do not even realize they are learning grammar, spelling and punctuation! Writing for no purpose is nowhere near as exciting as writing a book. This process builds excellence in writing as well as confidence.

Learn to Write the Novel Way has been applauded by the likes of author Mary Pride as well as teachers and parents. Because the same skills and steps can be used by any author to complete a novel, this curriculum can be used over and over to write as many books as the student(s) desire. And the price is certainly fair for a great curriculum that your students are going to thank you for!
