This colorful, informative counting book is the companion to the book N is for Natural State: An Arkansas Alphabet, but contains so much information about the great state of Arkansas, that it can definitely stand alone. Starting with just one rock, Pivot Rock, an unusual geological formation, this book will take you on a tour straight through to the state flower in bloom! Counting 1 to 100, readers visit and explore landmarks and grand historic place such as the Old State House.

They'll learn about state symbols and visit with the people of the Natural State. Did you know that the square dance became the official state American folk dance in 1991? How about the weight of the state record rainbow trout or where to find cave paintings and artifacts? Readers will learn this and more. This book appeals to all ages. There are charming poems for each subject, as well as a very informative section in each sidebar. There's even a recipe for a sweet snack! The illustrations truly bring the beauty of Arkansas to life. This counting book is a wonderful look at this state, its history and people.
