Preschoolers will love this DVD full of catchy tunes set to "music videos"--not the typical music videos, mind you. The Swingset Mamas: Sing, Dance and Swing is a compilation of 15 very cute songs that are sung by the artists in colorful, joyful settings and are sure to get your preschoolers singing and dancing along.

Besides encouraging movement, many of the songs are written to teach your preschooler about various topics, such as healthy foods, reading, dressing themselves, cleaning up after themselves, buckling their seatbelts, and months of the year.

The Swingset Mamas are two ladies who sing in beautiful but simple harmonies. The song styles range from blues to rap to country to 60s style and more. I found all the songs to be enjoyable. More importantly, my one-year-old son found them enjoyable too. Though not even a preschooler yet, he was taken in by the upbeat tunes and bright colors on the television screen. Because the camera work in the videos isn't too fast or choppy, the scenes held his attention.

The only downside I found was in the clothing the Swingset Mamas wear in a few of the videos. It isn't anything horribly immodest, but lower-cut shirts, spaghetti-strap dresses and mini-skirts are worn. I simply want to give fair warning to those who prefer more modesty. As for song lyrics and topics, I felt all were very appropriate for preschool-age children.

Our family enjoyed reviewing this DVD. If your preschooler likes music, you ought to go to www.swingsetmamas.com to hear a few clips from the DVD. I bet you'll enjoy what you hear!
