The Kids Prayer Time Series is a preschool/kindergarten series consisting of four booklets, each containing seven days of devotionals with accompanying daily coloring pages and prayers. Booklet 1 is called Lord, Teach Me How to Pray; it leads the child in praying for themselves and others. Booklet 2 is entitled Lord, Teach Me How to Walk by Faith, and it introduces the "Hall of Faith" referenced in Hebrews 11 and the related character traits that are pleasing to God. In Booklet 3,Lord, Teach Me How to Love Others, we learn the importance of strengthening our relationship with Christ first and then with others. The last booklet, Lord, Teach Me How to Take Care of the Temple, explains that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we need to care for them and honor Him with them. The series is designed so that all four booklets can be used in one month or, if desired, more slowly with one booklet per month.

I found the devotionals to be well thought out and uplifting. They are a great introduction to the basics of faith for young children. I was impressed with how easily the model prayers helped my preschooler to develop his own, albeit rudimentary (but heart-felt), prayers. He looked forward to the coloring pages and was proud to have his own booklets to show to his older brother.

My only complaint about the series was that I found it a little overpriced. Other than that, I think it is another winner from Cheryl Cook and would be a good idea to use before or alongside her Scripture to Grow On workbook with your younger children.
