My Very Own Name and My Very Own Fairy Tale are beautifully illustrated, personalized storybooks for children. Each book spells out the child's full name, letter by letter. In My Very Own Name animals present the letters one by one; in My Very Own Fairy Tale fairies present the letters. Each page is devoted to a new letter of the child's name; and, in the end, the child's full name is spelled out.

These books are recommended for children ages 0 to 8. My Very Own Fairy Tale is primarily for girls, while My Very Own Name is appropriate for girls or boys. Both books teach letter recognition, as well as the spelling of the child's name.

What child wouldn't love to see her own name in print and be the subject of her very own book? The books we received to review were just samples, but I know my six-year-old daughter would love it if these books were about her. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The words are set to rhyme, which is a feature that I love in children's books.

I personally feel that these books are expensive--definitely too much for a "for no reason" book purchase. However, they would make wonderful gifts for Christmas, birthday, or baby shower. It would definitely become a treasured keepsake!
